#12 Audio

Image
Using Garage Band, I created the soundtrack for my animation, using loops. I played around with the different sound effects and loops arranging them in-between and on each other to create the perfect sound tune for my stop-motion animation.

#11 Animation

After shooting 60-120 images of a concept of my own creation, I created a 45 second minimum / 400×300px / 10fps / frame x frame animation using Photoshop. I exported it as a QT video with Animation compression. All edits to images  completed in Photoshop were to modify the frames allowing me to compress a filter upon the images to portray a real life like stop-motion animation.

#10 Morphx

Using the works of Irina Wernin as an inspiration, I created one short MorphX animation of myself in two separate periods of my life; one as an infant and one more recently as an adult. Using both photos to create my animation, I went to Windows in Adobe Photoshop and clicked on timeline and set up my pictures at 2 seconds intervals with a cross-fade transition in between.

#9 Art Project

Image
I chose a famous photograph of two popular actresses Cara Delevingne and Rihanna and combined myself with this image. The goal was to make the inclusion of myself seamless. I chose the tannest image of myself and used the pen tool to trace only my face so that I could blend myself with Rihanna. Then using image adjustments and opacity levels, I was able to Warp, Distort, Scale and use Perspective to get my face as close as a match to Rihanna, next playing with the levels of hue/saturation, color balance, and exposure I blurred my image trying to seamlessly play the part of chilling with Cara.

#8 Somewhere

Image
Placing myself in an environment where I have never been, I paid close attention to the cutting and cleaning details by using the pen tool to trace myself out of an original image to then copy and paste it into the new image of friends. Then I played around with the image adjustments and transformations such as Warp, Scale, Skew, Distort, and Perspective. I also had to flip the original image of myself horizontal to be placed on the lefthand side of the picture. Next I paid close attention to lighting and shadows, as well as my hue/saturation and exposure.

#7 Autoscopy

Image
Project #7 Autoscopy consists of 7-10 images of places, things and a self-portrait taken by me. I explored layer effects and PS filters on the images, particularly playing with the adjustment layers of Hue/Saturation to change the colors in the images, Brightness/Contrast to change the tonal range of the image, Exposure to contradict and correct tonal values and Vibrance to increase the intensity of the muted colors while leaving the already saturated colors alone.

#6 Poster

Image
I chose to recreate a poster of "The New Yorker" inspired by one of my favorite magazines. Using the automatic tracing tools like the Pen tool and the Eyedropper tool I was able to copy the original image tracing the vector shapes and fill them in with the original color scheme demonstrated.

#5 Gradient Mesh

Image
I chose to make a gradient mesh of an pomegranate  First I selected an image of one with a white or transparent background from an internet image search. Then I converted this object into vector shapes using gradient mesh and other advanced illustration techniques like using the eye dropper tool to match colors and the pen tool to add shapes and dimensions to the fruit to make it look life-like.

#4 Business Cards

Image
Above I have designed 3 business card using my own logos. The designs are two sided and further reflect the brand I am promoting earlier on Project 3.

#3 Logo

Image
The inspiration for the logos above are derived from my roommate's and mine's start up clothing company called Opulent Revival. The logos are custom made just like the unique custom quality we add to the clothing. Our pieces are created from recycled denim and we hand stitch the revival quality  of our products.
