#2 Calligram



Adobe Illustrator allowed for me to create a Calligram in Apollinaire’s way. I first chose a line art illustration of an abstract women's body. From there I traced the image with the pen tool, creating new layers of lines to replace the lines of the original picture with lyrics from my favorite song: Darkside by Future and Ty Dolla $ign. The lyric identified with the image without identifying the image itself. We don't know who the women is but her body language speaks to us and the lyrics.

After shooting 60-120 images of a concept of my own creation, I created a 45 second minimum / 400×300px / 10fps / frame x frame animation using Photoshop. I exported it as a QT video with Animation compression. All edits to images  completed in Photoshop were to modify the frames allowing me to compress a filter upon the images to portray a real life like stop-motion animation.
